Paperbus rockwool plugs stand for homogeneity and reliability. The ideal basis for automated processing, uniform germination and high percentage of transplantable plants. Extensive tests have shown that cuttings made on 'paper plugs' root up to four days faster than cuttings on ordinary plugs.
The reason lies in the material itself; 'Paper plugs' are cuttings plugs filled with a rock wool flake and perlite mixture, with a paper sleeve.
This material has so little root resistance that the cuttings root faster and better.
The predominantly vertical fibre structure gives the plugs the desired resilience. A practical advantage when transplanting is that the plug retains its shape, makes good contact with the block and guarantees fast road growth. A good balance between small and large pores in the rockwool ensures an ideal air-water ratio in the plugs. The fibrous structure provides a balanced distribution of nutrient water throughout the plug. In short, paperbus plugs lay the foundation for an optimal germination process and a uniform sowing result due to their homogeneity, flexibility, shape and firmness.
