Using one or more DimLux Expert Series in combination with the DimLux Maxi Controller has a number of fantastic advantages:
Extensive and precise setting options
In addition to as many as 7 dimming options, the DimLux Maxi Controller can adjust the light output according to the temperature of the room. It also facilitates the switch from incremental dimming to continuous-variable dimming, making it even easier to achieve the perfect light setting. This is possible by using the + and - (brightness) buttons or setting the desired temperature and leaving the rest to the Maxi Controller. If the preset temperature is exceeded, the lamps are then automatically dimmed or even partially switched off. It doesn't get any easier!
Sensors: measuring = knowing
There are several sensors available that can be connected to the DimLux Maxi Controller. A temperature sensor and humidity sensor can be combined with a plant temperature sensor for optimum crop growth. The values obtained from the temperature sensor, humidity sensor and plant temperature sensor are then analysed and combined to control the optimal relationship between ambient temperature, ambient relative humidity, relative humidity and crop leaf temperature and vapour pressure deficit.
Comprehensive connection and control options
A single DimLux Maxi Controller can control as many as 160 DimLux Expert Series light systems (in pairs of 40). Two DimLux Expert can be connected by speaker wire directly to the DimLux Maxi Controller, multiple light systems should be connected linearly (daisy chain) to the first two. In addition, the DimLux and DimLux Maxi Controller can be connected directly to a socket without the use of relays, time delayers and timers. This is safer and also saves costs.
Simulation of sunrise and sunset
Plants do not use photosynthesis until a certain temperature is reached, if the lights are turned on full after a dark period this can be stressful and affect growth, condensation can also form which can cause rot. This can be prevented by using the DimLux Maxi Controller to simulate sunrise and sunset which slowly switches the DimLux light systems on and off.
Energy and cost savings
When the DimLux lighting systems are controlled by the Maxi Controller, this ballast is the only ballast that has no inrush current. A normal inrush current ranges from 50 to 160 amps per digital ballast. Newer digital ballasts use soft start technology to limit the inrush current to 50 to 60 amps. This seems small, but when multiplied by the number of ballasts (160, for example) it results in a significant amount of current savings.
DimLux Maxi Controller EVO 1.2. Comes with a 5-metre Interlink cable as standard. Can also be supplied with an extra long 10-metre Interlink cable. This 10-metre cable must be ordered separately.
