Carbon filter is a metal cylinder filled with activated carbon. Carbon has the property of absorbing odours. The odour passes through the carbon layer and comes out odourless. The extractor sucks out the warm odourless air.
A good carbon filter is very important for indoor cultivation. As the active carbon particles decrease in action with time, it is recommended to replace a filter after 3 harvests.
