A check valve, backflow preventer, check valve or check valve, is a valve used to allow water, liquid, granulate, powder or gas to flow through in one direction. Usually, the medium pushes the valve open when flowing through and a spring or gravity closes the valve. In other cases, when flowing back, the medium itself pushes the valve closed.
